WWII Leading to the Cold War

Conflicts of national interest caused the WWII alliance between the U.S. and the Soviets and was replaced by the Cold War. The Cold War was initially a dispute over of the future of Europe and grew to many others across the war. Many alliances and agreements where made during this time and continued for 45 years. No country attacked directly, each tried to use multiple other tools such as economic pressure, assassination, propaganda to try to get what they want and carefully avoid nuclear war.
