World War II and Cold War's Effect on the World Today

Since the end of World War II and the Cold War the way the world functions and how people live has drastically changed, whether it's the improved weapons used in battle or a woman's new role in society. World War II has placed a new image into people's minds about how tragically devastating, cruel, and inhumane a war can become. These memories of those who lived through it and the pictures that share their stories will be forever etched in everyone's memories and change the way we live our lives today. There is museums and online archives such as this to honor those who have fallen whether it was on the battlefield or in the crematoria at Auschwitz. Not only did the war the change the way we view the past and treat each other, but it also had an effect on the weaponry used in the United States later on and even today. World War II is even effecting the education system as it is now a permanent and very important learning topic in every high school across the U.S. World War II and the memories produced from it was, is, and always will be surrounding the world and the people in it because the pure impact and devastation of it is something that can and will live forever.
